Midway firemen responded to a structure fire about 2:40 Thursday afternoon at 151 Highway 178.
Information indicates a passing motorist notified emergency personnel of the blaze.

Midway Fire Chief Donald Tucker says the fire melted the siding o the home. The names of the homeowners were not available.
The blaze was reportedly under control about 3:00 Thursday afternoon.
Chief Tucker made a plea to area residents to refrain from burning if at all possible, saying conditions are too dry at this time. For those who do burn, he strongly urges they stay with the fires.
