In high school basketball Thursday night, the Yellville-Summit girls picked up a win at the Arvest Bank Tournament at Flippin by topping Western Grove.
Savannah Adams led the way for the Lady Panthers with 15 points and Taylor McFarland added 13 points.
The Mammoth Spring girls suffered their first loss of the season at Flippin as they lost to Jasper 65-50.
The Lady Bears fall to 9-1 on the season and will take on Melbourne in the third place game Saturday.
The Mountain Home 8th grade boy’s basketball team lost at the Pirate Classic in Branson, falling to Marshfield 34-21.
The 8th Grade Bombers play at Greene County Tech Monday.
The Izard County junior high teams won their games at Sloan-Hendrix. The Junior Cougars ran their record to 8-0 with a 43-26 win.
Coby Everett scored 14 points and Chase Orf added 12.
Izard County won the junior girl’s game 35-26.
