It’s the second week of the postseason for high school football in Arkansas, and three area teams will continue playoff action Friday.

Salem will be on the road for its second game in the Class 2A State Playoffs. The Greyhounds will be paired with Palestine-Wheatley.
Salem came into the playoffs as they fifth-seeded team from the 2A-3. The Greyhounds are 5-5 after their first round win at Hector. Palestine-Wheatley is the number three seeded from the 2A-6. The Patriots edged out Mountain Pine a week ago to improve to 8-2.
Kickoff at Patriot Field is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Melbourne will head toward the Mississippi River for the second round of the Class 3A State Playoffs. The Bearkatz will be in Wilson to meet Rivercrest.
Both teams come into the game with a record of 9-2. Melbourne is the number three seed out of the 3A-1, and they began the postseason last week at home with a ten-point victory over Perryville. Rivercrest won a tiebreaker for the top seed from the 3A-3. The Colts’ first game in the postseason resulted in a win over Bald Knob.
Gametime is set for 7:00 at Rivercrest Stadium.

Harrison will be in Little Rock for its quarterfinal game in the Class 5A State Playoffs. The Goblins’ opponent will be Pulaski Academy.
Harrison is a number three seed despite finishing the regular season as the 5A-West co-champions. The Goblins are 8-3 after beating Lakeside last week in Hot Springs. P.A. began the postseason as the top-seeded team from the 5A-Central, and they’re also ranked number one in Class 5A and number four overall by the Arkansas Associated Press. The Bruins remain undefeated in 11 games on the year after invoking the mercy rule last week on Valley View.
Kickoff at Rector Field is slated for 7:00.
