In high school basketball Monday night, Mammoth Spring won both of their games at Viola.
The Lady Bears ran their record to 10-2 and 2-0 with a 69-42 victory. Whitlee Layne pumped in 27 points for Mammoth Spring, Bailey Hocum scored 14 and Stephanie Henry added 12.
The Lady Bears face Valley Springs Friday morning at the Marvin Newton Classic at Viola.
The Mammoth Spring boys topped Viola 56-44 to improve to 7-3 and 2-0. Alex Mero led the scoring with 17 points, Brett Mayfield had 14, Daniel Mayfield finished with 11 points and Sagen Godwin scored 10.
The Bears play Saturday at the Current River Challenge at Van Buren, Missouri against Ellington.
In junior high basketball, the Yellville-Summit junior girls lost to Flippin 28-23.
