Several local organizations will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.All governmental offices of Baxter County, Marion County and the City of Mountain Home will be closed Thursday and Friday. The Baxter County Sheriff and Mountain Home Police Department’s administrative offices report they will also be closed Thursday and Friday.
The U.S. Post office will be closed Thursday and return to normal operating hours Friday and Saturday.
Different banks have different policies regarding the federal holiday. While the majority of banks are closed Thursday, local bankers advise to check with local institutions for hours of operation. Many banks will be open Friday during normal business hours.
