Construction has begun on the South School Street widening project in Gassville. The project will resurface a half mile of the street. Gassville Mayor Jeff Braim says residents and business owners are advised to travel the street with caution and obey the signage and construction speed limit of 15 miles per hour. Motorists are asked to take an alternate route when possible and be aware of equipment and workers in the area.
In September, the Arkansas Department of Transportation approved the South School Street contact of over $864,000 to Dilbeck Excavation, Inc. of Mountain Home. Completion of the project is expected in early 2019, according to the Department of Transportation.
Any questions regarding the project may be directed to Gassville City Hall at (870) 435-6439.
