MHHS basketball teams compete for 3rd place Saturday

The local Saturday schedule includes the Mountain Home High School basketball teams wrapping up their first tournaments of the season.

The Lady Bombers will compete for third place in the Lady Eagle Invitational Tournament at Greene County Tech High School in Paragould. The Lady Bombers’ opponent will be West Memphis.
Mountain Home is currently 2-3 on the season. The Lady Bombers were edged out by Little Rock Christian in the second semifinal. The Lady Blue Devils lost the other semifinal game to Southside Batesville.
Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday’s game can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.

Mountain Home’s boys will take part in the third place game of the Citizens Bank Tournament at Van Buren. The Bombers will be matched up with the host Pointers.
Mountain Home fell to Cabot Friday in the semifinals. The Bombers are 2-3 on the year. Van Buren lost the other semifinal game to Fort Smith Southside.
Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30. Saturday’s game can be heard on KTLO-AM and streaming live at ktlo.com.

The inaugural Battle of the Border Tournament will get underway at Mammoth Spring. Cotter’s girls tip off at 1:00 against Gainesville. Two boys’ games will follow as Salem faces Mountain View-Liberty at 2:15, and Calico Rock takes on Sloan-Hendrix at 3:30.

The Mountain Home High School wrestling team is spending the weekend in Little Rock. The Bombers will take part in a tournament at Central High School.
