A Lakeview woman, 33-year-old Jessica Lynn Shafer, has been arrested on felony drug charges after her vehicle was stopped in the early morning hours Friday.
Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says a deputy from his office was on patrol on Highway 5 near Hospital Drive when he observed a vehicle matching the description in a BOLO issued earlier in the evening.
A traffic stop was initiated, and Shafer was asked to exit the vehicle. During the pat-down of the driver, a glass pipe, commonly used to ingest methamphetamine, fell out of her pocket. During the post arrest search of the vehicle, a needle and a bag containing a pipe and marijuana were found.
Shafer was charged with two felony counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as three misdemeanor offenses.
Her bond was set at $3,500 pending her appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court later this month.
