Despite the cold weather, the Living Windows and Lighted Christmas Parade drew a large crowd to Calico Rock’s Historic Main Street. The Calico Rock Museum and Visitor Center reports over 700 people attended Saturday’s festivities.

Sozo Graphics won the Living Windows competition voted on by the attendees with Santa Paws. The city of Calico Rock was the runner-up with Ugly Sweaters, and the Printing Press Cafe took third place with Homeless Christmas. In addition, Grasyn Sanders won the Gingerbread House competition.

Izard County Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley led the parade which concluded with a visit from Santa Claus. The Calico Rock Museum reports this year’s parade had the most windows and floats in its history.
