Bombers fall to Bentonville West

The Mountain Home High School boys’ basketball team had another tough loss on the road as they to Centerton on Tuesday. Matt Sharp has the recap.

The Bombers fell to Bentonville West in a physical game by a final of 46-40. Mountain Home either would have the lead or would be tied with the Wolverines for much of the opening quarter. Bentonville West took its first lead inside the final minute of the first period. The Bombers regained the advantage in the third quarter, but once the Wolverines got the lead back, they did not relinquish it.

David Wehmeyer led Mountain Home with 12 points, and Colton Peters added 11. For Bentonville West, Collier Blackburn scored 12 points.

The Wolverines remain undefeated in six games on the season. The Bombers drop to 2-7, and they finish their current road stand Friday at Harrison.
