The City of Cotter’s seventh annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is set for Saturday evening at the Cotter Volunteer Fire Department on Harding Boulevard. The lighting is set for 6:00, with the doors opening at 5:30.Following the tree lighting, the Cotter School Choir will sing Christmas carols, and Santa Claus will be on hand to have pictures taken with kids and pass out goodies. Refreshments will be served.

Cotter Volunteer Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary President Elizabeth Evans says the ceremony is not only a way to spread the spirit of the holiday season, but it’s also an opportunity for the community to meet with the local firefighters.
