Basketball makes up the Monday schedule as two local high school teams will be in Jonesboro for the start of the NEA Invitational Basketball Tournament. Melbourne’s girls will have the opener as they face Marked Tree at 9 a.m., and the Mammoth Spring boys meet Ridgefield Christian at 7:30. Both games will be played at First National Bank Arena on the campus of Arkansas State University.
Bakersfield and Lutie will meet for a doubleheader in the Bradleyville Invitational Tournament. The girls’ game tips off at 6:00 followed by the boys’ contest.
Elsewhere, Dora’s boys travel to Koshkonong, Salem hosts Izard County, Timbo entertains Pangburn, Mountain View is home against Bald Knob, and Lead Hill makes the trip to Jasper.
On the junior high level, Cotter heads to Bergman.
