FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – For the second straight week, the Arkansas men’s basketball team has had a player receive conference honors from the SEC, as senior guard Daryl Macon was named SEC Player of the Week Monday afternoon for the second time in his career.

Macon follows freshman forward Daniel Gafford who won SEC Freshman of the Week last Monday. Macon recorded his third 20-point effort Saturday, in a 88-63 win over Troy. He went 8-of-14 from the floor, hitting five three pointers to go along with five assists, three steals, three rebounds and zero turnovers. It was the first three-steal game this season by a Razorback, giving Macon his fifth multi-steal game of the year, including each of the last three contests.

The Little Rock native has three straight games with five-plus assists, giving him 20 total dimes to just three turnovers in that stretch. Through 10 games, Macon has tied his total number of 20-point efforts from last year with three.

Macon is shooting 44.1 percent (49-111) from the floor during his senior year, including an impressive 43.1 percent (25-56) from behind the arc. After starting the season making his first 17 free throws, he is shooting 86.1 percent from the charity stripe, after going 4-for-4 against Troy.

Arkansas returns to the floor Tuesday when the Razorbacks host the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles at 7 p.m. on SEC Network Plus.
