A Mountain Home man, 19-year-old Luke Tidwell, who pled guilty and was sentenced to four years of probation in Baxter County Circuit Court last week, was also recently sentenced in White County on similar charges. According to online court records, Tidwell negotiated a guilty plea to charges of felony theft of property, from an incident at Walmart in May, and was given five years probation.
According to the affidavit in the case, an officer responded to a Walmart in White County in May of 2017 after Tidwell and an accomplice were caught outside the store with two shopping carts full of stolen merchandise. The total value of the items was just over $1,300.
In Baxter County Tidwell was sentenced to four years probation in two cases. One involved Tidwell vandalizing a recreational vehicle parked behind a local business causing approximately $5,000 in damages. The other case involved stolen medications from a relative.
