A local cheerleader was selected to make a special appearance during college football's postseason. Mountain Home freshman Haley Czeschin will perform during halftime of the Citrus Bowl game between LSU and Notre Dame Monday afternoon in Orlando, Florida.
Czeschin says she learned of her selection when the team was at cheer camp learning routines for the football and basketball seasons.
Fellow Mountain Home cheerleaders Sophie Quick, Lauren Dewey, Tori Robb and Claire Maycunich also tried out and were selected for the bowl game. Czeschin says they are unable to make the trip, but they and the rest of the team have been showing her support.
Czeschin says she will be leaving for Orlando Wednesday, and once she arrives, she and the other cheerleaders will begin practicing their choreography through Monday before the game kicks off. She adds she will also get to spend some leisure time at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida.
Czeschin says she is not sure if her performance will be televised. If it is, Monday's game will be broadcast on ABC with kickoff set for noon.
