MH vs. Norfork girls among 2nd day matchups in 1st Arkansas Bail Bonds Tourney

Thursday marks the second of three days of high school basketball on the campus of Mountain Home High School. The First Arkansas Bail Bonds Tournament continues at Bomber Gymnasium as both host teams will compete in the semifinals.
Mountain Home’s girls will be paired with one of the top teams in Class 1A as they meet Norfork. The Lady Bombers are currently 7-5 on the season after winning their opening round game over Rose Bud. The Lady Panthers are undefeated in 19 games on the year coming off their nine-point victory over Watson Chapel. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Also on the girls’ bracket, Highland and Paragould get the action started at 10:00, Rose Bud meets Watson Chapel at 1:00, and Farmington faces North Little Rock at 4:00.
The Mountain Home boys will play the final game of the day as their semifinal opponent will be Watson Chapel. The Bombers was able to beat Rose Bud in its first game of the tournament to improve to 4-8. The Wildcats breezed through the first round with a win over Batesville. Gametime is set for 8:30.
In the other boys’ games, Farmington takes on Brinkley at 11:30, Batesville plays Rose Bud at 2:30, and Paragould will be matched up with Hamburg at 5:30.

Elsewhere, two area boys’ teams will play their third games in the Cabool Holiday Tournament. Gainesville meets Licking at noon, and Dora faces Eminence in the semifinals at 4:30.

Gainesville’s girls will compete in the semifinals of the Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs take on Mountain View-Liberty at 6:00.

The Omaha girls will go back across the state line to continue play in the Walnut Grove Holiday Classic. The Lady Eagles will be paired with Hermitage, Missouri, at 4:30.
