MH teams split on final day of tourney

The Mountain Home High School basketball teams split their games Friday afternoon on the final day of the 1st Arkansas Bail Bonds tournament at Bomber Gymnasium. Both teams were playing in the third place games.

The Bombers earned a 64-44 win over Hamburg. It was the Lions who jumped out to a quick 10-1 lead but Mountain Home erupted with a 26-2 run and Hamburg trailed by double digits for almost the rest of the game.
Luke Kruse had a big game with 25 points and David Wehmeyer added another double double with 14 points and 20 rebounds as Mountain Home improves to 5-9 on the season.
Hamburg got 16 points from Nigel Lewis as they fall to 9-6.

The Lady Bombers came up short against Farmington 63-54. It was Mountain Home who led by one at halftime but the Lady Cardinals opened the second half with a 19-7 run. The Lady Bombers could get no closer than five points the rest of the way.
Hannah Pfiefer made six three pointers and finished with 20 points and Kyra Pinn added 10 for Mountain Home who falls to 7-7 on the season.
Farmington improves to 11-2. The Lady Cardinals had four players in double figures led by the 18 points of Madisyn Pence.
