Item added to MH City Council agenda

One item of business was added to the Mountain Home City Council agenda Thursday afternoon. The addition is a request to transfer almost $5,000 from the line item for repairs maintenance building to the capital improvement AC/Heat line item for the L.C. Sammons Youth Center.

City Clerk Brian Plumlee confirmed the request is to address an emergency need.

The council will consider three additional items of new business when its meets Thursday evening at 6:00.

The council will consider two resolutions with one recognizing the opioid epidemic in Arkansas and engaging in litigation as a member of the Municipal League Defense Program against those entities and people responsible for this societal crisis.

The second resolution is a state law requiring the members of the body elected for each city or town to assemble and organize the governing body annually during the month of January.

In addition, the council will consider transferring funds from the general administration line item to the contract laborer line item.

The meeting will be held in the council chambers of the Municipal Building.
