A woman who has spent the past three years in La Vista Correctional facility in Pueblo, Colorado has been extradited to the Marion County Jail to face charges. Marion County Sheriff Clinton L. Evans reports 52-year-old Lori Ann Thorne was taken into custody Tuesday. Thorne is charged with felony theft of property, residential burglary, commercial theft of property and first degree criminal mischief. Her bond has been set at $25,000.

The arrest and extradition are the result of a previous investigation in which a judge issued a felony bench warrant for Thorne. According to online court records, the warrant was issued January 6, 2015 for the theft of numerous items, with a dollar amount of approximately $60,000, from an address on Marion County Road 7033. The theft occurred January 5, 2015 and the nature of the burglary led the victims to believe it was Thorne, who is a relative.

A vehicle, along with weapons and jewelry, was taken from the victim’s home. Some of those items were located in a concealed compartment, known to Thorne, inside the residence. At the time of the burglary, officers noticed a vehicle left behind the victim’s residence, which came back as being owned by Thorne’s mother. The victim’s vehicle was nowhere to be found.

It was learned by the Mountain Home Police Department Thorne’s mother had filed an unauthorized use of a vehicle complaint just a day before the burglary took place. The vehicle was reported to be possibly on its way to California.

The warrant states the Mountain Home Police had contact with Thorne before the unauthorized use was reported to law enforcement.
