Community Connections for Youth and Families to offer evening courses starting Tuesday

Community Connections for Youth and Families, Inc., will host a series of evening classes open to the public beginning Tuesday at the Family Resource Center in Mountain Home. Registration is required, and free child care is available by appointment.

“Coping with Character” is an eight-class series for ages ten to 17 Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00. The classes combine adolescent anger management with character building components. The cost for the complete series is $24 per youth.

A six-class series titled “Active Parenting” is offered Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 beginning January 30th to parents of children ages zero to 11. Parents will be provided with helpful parenting tools. The fee for the six classes is $18 per person.

“Teen Substance Abuse Awareness” is available for ages 13 to 17 as a six-class series Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 starting February 1st. The courses address issues and concerns linked with substance abuse. Teenagers can attend the series for $18.

“Adult Anger Management for Men and Women” is available Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 beginning February 22nd to any age 18-and-older. The 13-class series focuses on providing attendees with tools and strategies for managing anger issues. The cost is $35 per person.

A six-class series named “Family Dynamics” is for parents or guardians and their teens ages 12 to 17 and will be held Monday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 starting January 29th. Parents and teens will learn to work together to direct family energy into positive communications. The fee for the series is $18 per person.
