The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has scheduled a temporary closure of one lane across the Norfork Dam to repair a damaged concrete parapet wall. The closure on Arkansas Highway 177 will begin Tuesday morning at 9:00 and continue through January 25th at 4:00 weather permitting.
The closure was coordinated with local emergency and law enforcement agencies. Motorists traveling in the area of Norfork Dam should expect delays, obey traffic lights and drive cautiously around equipment and work crews.
