MH City Council tables opioid epidemic resolution to its next meeting

Mountain Home City Clerk Brian Plumlee served as Mayor Pro Tem as the Mountain Home City Council tabled a resolution dealing with the Opioid epidemic during Thursday’s session. With Mayor Joe Dillard and Alderman Rick Pierce absent, the council considered the resolution to enter the city into a class action lawsuit against pharmaceutical companies pushing certain opioid medications. The resolution will be re-introduced at the next council meeting.

In addition, the council unanimously passed a resolution setting forth organizations for the city of Mountain Home. The council also unanimously agreed to move $15,000 from the general administration line item of the budget to the contract laborer line item, and $4,979.90 were moved from the repairs maintenance building line item to the capital improvement line item for air conditioning and heat for the L.C. Sammons Youth Center.
