A Mountain Home man, 39-year-old Edgar Carlisle, has been arrested on felony drug charges after he was observed by a Mountain Home Police officer running a stop sign and spinning his tires.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Carlisle’s vehicle was stopped Monday evening on Ridgecrest Street. As the officer approached the vehicle, he observed Carlisle moving inside the vehicle in a manner that lead him to advise the Mountain Home man he would be patting him down. During the process, a pipe commonly used for drugs was found with residue in it.   The officer asked Carlisle if there was anything illegal in his vehicle and was directed to a baggie in the front seat containing .9 of a gram of a substance in a cigarette package field testing positive for methamphetamine.

Carlisle was charged with felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

His bond was set at $2,500, and he is set to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court later this month.
