A Caulfield resident was transported by ambulance to Ozarks Medical Center Tuesday morning after a van collided with a sport bike on Route FF, three miles southwest of South Fork.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Corporal J.C. Howell reported the collision occurred when a van driven by 64-year-old Donna Gulley pulled into the path of a sport bike driven by 19-year-old Billy Deluna. Both are from Caulfield.

Deluna reportedly suffered moderate injuries and was transported to the West Plains hospital. A hospital spokesperson says he was transferred to Mercy Hospital in Springfield at 10:30 Tuesday morning in serious condition. A call to Mercy Hospital was not returned Wednesday morning.

His bike was totaled.

Gulley was uninjured and her vehicle was driven from the scene of the 8:55 a.m. accident.
