A second person has been identified in a Marion County drug bust following a visit by probation and parole officers at a residence along County Road 5010 on December 19th.

According to the probable cause affidavit made available Thursday, Marion County Sheriff’s officers were asked to assist in the visit after narcotics were located.

Arrested following the visit was 48-year-old Eugene Foster of Everton, who reportedly had narcotics and drug paraphernalia in his bedroom. Among the items was a clear plastic bag containing 5.10 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a second bag with .139 grams of suspected marijuana and a plastic bin with six marijuana seeds. Foster also had a glass smoking device and a handmade plastic smoking device, commonly referred to as bongs, with a strong odor of burnt marijuana. Also located in his bedroom were four glass smoking pipes, rolling papers, a marijuana grinder and a needle with a brown tar-like substance inside.

An earlier affidavit noted 37-year-old Amanda Baskin of Everton was also arrested during the visit by probation and parole officers. Baskin had warrants out of Newton and Pope counties.

Foster has been charged with felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, along with three misdemeanor counts. His bond was set at $5,000, and he is set to appear in Marion County Circuit Court.
