Police chase leads to arrest on multiple drug charges

A Mountain Home man, 28-year-old Matthew Travis Sebree, was arrested by Mountain Home Police on multiple charges after a police chase Sunday afternoon. He was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on two felony drug charges as well as other misdemeanor offenses. Sebree remains incarcerated on a $7,500 bond.According to an affidavit released Wednesday, Mountain Home Police responded to a complaint of a fight at a residence on McClure Lane. Upon arrival they learned the suspect, identified as Sebree, had left the residence in a vehicle.

He was located driving south on McClure Lane. When officers attempted to pull him over he continued driving at a high rate of speed, running stop signs and circling around the neighborhood. Officers were able to stop him at the intersection of Laurel and 16th Street.

A search of his vehicle found nine plastic bags containing Klonopin pills, three bags of marijuana and approximately 1.3 grams of a substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Sebree faces felony and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver charges, along with a separate felony of possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor fleeing and driving with a suspended drivers license.

He is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court.
