Twin Lakes Area dodges bullet as winter weather moves east

Predicted winter weather for the Twin Lakes Area never materialized over night as the brunt of ice, sleet and snow hit further east than weather models showed. As a result there are no cancellations reported to KTLO, Classic Hits 101.7 and The Boot news Friday morning.
Joe Goudsward, meteorologist from the National Weather Service in North Little Rock, says those areas to the east did see some significant accumulation.

A lake wind advisory is in effect until noon for all of north central Arkansas.

Meteorologist Doug Cramer, from the National Weather Service in Springfield, says the majority of south central Missouri is also clear, however some areas were not as lucky.

Conditions in south central Missouri are reported to have little, if any, ice accumulation. The Ozark County Sheriff’s Department says no weather related accidents were reported.
