Gassville City Council to consider appintment for Fire Chief

The regular January session of the Gassville City Council is scheduled for Monday evening at 6:00. Items on the agenda include consideration for the Fire Chief Position. Gassville Mayor Jeff Braim says there are six applicants, most from out of state. He has narrowed that number down to an applicant he thinks is best suited for the job and will present his suggestion to the council.

Other items on the meeting’s agenda include considering resolutions to adopt the city’s operation budget for 2018 and reconciling the operation budget from 2017.

Other considerations include items to be sold by the Gassville Fire Department, organization of government for 2018, an ordinance to rezone a property from commercial to residential and considering a litigation letter from the Arkansas Municipal League.

The meeting will be held in the Gassville Community Center on South School Street.
