A man suspected of stealing from a Mountain Home residence is reportedly in custody in Harrison. According to a probable cause affidavit from the Mountain Home Police Department, 21-year-old Andrew Ramirez is facing a felony count of theft of property.

A Mountain Home resident filed a report Wednesday of a theft of jewelry and a firearm described as a .357 revolver. The description and serial number of the gun was entered into the National Crime Information Center as stolen, and the victim provided information for a potential suspect.

The victim contacted the Mountain Home Police Department again two days later and stated the alleged suspect was staying with a church in Harrison. The victim provided the location, and officers contacted the Harrison Police Department in reference to the suspect and stolen items. Harrison officers located the subject identified as Ramirez, and it was discovered he had several outstanding warrants. After Ramirez was taken into custody, detectives reportedly recovered the gun.

At the time of the affidavit, the jewelry valued at $900 had not been recovered.
