Race develops for BC quorum court; Dr. Osgood to run for seat

The first race of the early political season has developed for a seat on the Baxter County Quorum Court.

Dr. Charles Osgood has announced his intention to run for justice of the Peace in District 7. The seat is currently held by Marily Williamson who announced in January she will be seeking a third term.

Dr. Osgood says he has been a practicing chiropractor in Mountain Home for 20 years and will be honored to have the opportunity to serve the citizens of District 7 on the quorum court.

Dr. Osgood is a graduate of Parker University in Dallas, Texas.

He describes himself as a a conservative Republican who believes less government is better government.

He says he is very familiar with Baxter County and his experience and qualifications will be a great asset to him in making decisions affecting the citizens.

The primary election is set for May 22nd.
