Jacob Morley of Salem entered a guilty plea to drug-related charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday. Formal sentencing was continued until March 8th so Morley could deal with legal problems in Fulton County.

The 27-year-old Morley’s charges stem from a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 62 East July 7th last year.

In the probable cause affidavit, the Arkansas State Police trooper who stopped the Fulton Couty man reported he pulled Morley over because he was not wearing a seatbelt.

When the trooper asked for Morley’s driver’s license, he reported being given an expired restricted driving permit. The trooper was given permission to search Morley and his vehicle, with methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia located.
