A probation compliance check at a residence along Bryniarski Lane off of Highway 5 South Thursday has led to the arrest of a Mountain Home couple after drug and drug paraphernalia was located in their home, including inside a children’s toy box.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the compliance check was conducted at the home of 37-year-old Rebecca Rene Bryniarski and her live-in boyfriend, 27-year-old Tommy Dwight Gattis.

During the check, numerous items of drug paraphernalia were found, including a pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue discovered in the cushion of the living room couch, a marijuana grinder in a basket next to the couch, numerous butane torches commonly used for smoking methamphetamine on the floor and the coffee table in the living room.

Found concealed in a children’s toy box full of toys was a box containing a baggie with approximately 6 grams of a white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine, along with a baggie containing six Clonazepam pills, a schedule IV substance, cut in half. Also in the toy box were several dozen small plastic baggies commonly used to dispense methamphetamine and pills, as well as two sets of digital scales. Other items of drug paraphernalia were also found throughout the residence.

Bryniarski and Gattis have been charged with two felony counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, as well as a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a minor. Bryniarksi also is charged with a felony probation violation. Her bond was set at $10,295. Gattis’ bond was set at $10,000. Both are set to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court later this month.
