A weekend traffic stop led to the arrest of a rural Mountain Home man on drug charges. Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel reports 41-year-old Edmond Crow was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center Saturday evening on felony counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released Sunday evening after posting a $2,500 bond.

A Mountain Home officer conducted a traffic stop for an expired vehicle license and asked Crow to exit the vehicle. Crow stated he was on probation and understood he could be searched at any time. The officer located a baggie containing a substance field-testing positive for methamphetamine, and it will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock for verification. A glass pipe was also located in the vehicle.

Crow is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court.
