5 sign and 4 building permits issued in January

Five sign and four building permits were issued in Mountain Home in January, according to Roberta Pack from the city’s Building Inspection Department.

The largest amount issued for signs was $1,600 for Ammo Zone at 1201 Highway 62B. The other permits for signs were for Davita Kidney Care in the amount of $1,000 at 200 East Eighth Street, American Safeguard Insurance in the amount of $800 at 1004 Highway 62 East, Vacs Etc. in the amount of $600 at 217 South College Street, and S&S Bookkeeping in the amount of $400 at 101 East Fifth Street.

Two nonresidential and two residential building permits were issued during January.

The two nonresidential permits involved a driveway and a shed. The combined construction costs for the two projects was $3,500.

Two residential permits were issued for additions. The combined construction costs for the two projects was $20,000.

The value of permits issued in January totaled $27,900.

The cost of permits issued for the month of January totaled $1,668, including the actual cost of the building permits at $176, $347 for electrical permits, $347 for mechanical permits, and $805 for plumbing permits.

The city building and inspection department handled 67 inspections for the month.
