Missouri State falters late, falls to Bradley

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ Darrell Brown scored 16 points and led a game-closing 8-3 run to help Bradley beat Missouri State 82-78 on Wednesday night.

Jarrid Rhodes made a pair of free throws to give Missouri State its last lead at 75-74 with 77 seconds left. Nate Kennell made a pair to put the Braves back up for good. Brown made all six of his free throws in a 29-second span and finished 11 of 12 from the free throw line.

Kennell led Bradley (19-11, 9-8 Missouri Valley) by scoring 20 points with six 3-pointers. Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye scored 18 and Donte Thomas and Koch Bar each added 10.

Jared Dixon paced Missouri State (17-13, 7-10) with 24 points, Rhodes scored 20 and Mustafa Lawrence 11. Alize Johnson grabbed 11 rebounds and distributed six assists. The Bears shot 13 of 30 from 3-point range.
