2 vehicles towed from scene of accident

Possible injuries were reported with both vehicles towed from the scene of an accident Thursday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. Highway 62/412 and North Johnson Street in Gassville.

According to the report from the Gassville Police Department, the accident occurred at 3:00 when a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Margaret Sumrall of Mountain View exited North Johnson onto Highway 62/412. Sumrall pulled into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by 75-year-old Plez Godwin of Welling, Oklahoma. Godwin was unable to take evasive action and his vehicle crashed into the rear of the Sumrall vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The report notes possible injuries to Godwin, but indicates he was not transported to a medical facility.
