3 Democrats file for central Arkansas seat

(AP) – Three Democrats have filed to run for a U.S. House
seat in central Arkansas that the party hopes to reclaim.State Rep. Clarke Tucker along with teachers Gwen Combs and Paul Spencer filed paperwork Thursday for the Democratic nomination for the 2nd Congressional District. Republican U.S. Rep. French Hill also filed to run for re-election to the seat.

Republican Rep. Bruce Westerman filed to run for re-election to the 4th
Congressional District covering southern and western Arkansas. Randy Caldwell filed to challenge Westerman in the GOP primary, and Hayden Shamel filed to run for the Democratic nomination for his seat.

Josh Mahony filed to run for the Democratic nomination for the 3rd
Congressional District seat in northwest Arkansas currently held by Republican Rep. Steve Womack.
