The Mountain Home High School softball team lost their season opener Thursday, dropping a 13-7 decision to Salem at home.
Sydnie Zimmer went two for three with a run batted in, Addison Yates belted a two-run home run and Bella Bevel and Madison Manes each drove in two runs.
