The season came to an end for Western Grove’s boys Saturday in the semifinals of the Class 1A State Tournament. After being up 12 points through three quarters, the Warriors were outscored by Guy-Perkins 26-7 in the final quarter to suffer the 65-58 loss at Devildog Arena in Morrilton. The Thunderbirds will meet Izard County for the state championship at Bank of the Ozarks Arena in Hot Springs.
