A new project for the Mountain Home High School athletic department is in its beginning stage. The Bomber Boosters Foundation is looking to raise money toward an on-campus facility for the tennis squads.

The foundation held an exploratory meeting last week, and over 30 people also attended a lunch meeting to discuss the possibility of raising funds through gifts and contributions. The proposed facility would include six courts, and it would be lighted. According to Mountain Home athletic director Mitch Huskey, the foundation is attempting to raise a minimum of $600,000.

Huskey added he would like to see the momentum continue from the tennis program’s recent success. The Lady Bombers finished as Class 6A state champions in 2016 and as state runners-up in 2017. In addition, Mountain Home’s Emily Heide has won the last two individual state titles.
