Drugs, defaced firearm leads to probation sentence

Adam Wetstein of Mountain Home entered a guilty plea to drug-related charges, plus possession of a defaced firearm, and was sentenced to five years probation during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

The 28-year-old Wetstein was arrested after he participated in the sale of methamphetamine to a person working with law enforcement in late June last year.

After the substance purchased by the informant tested positive for methamphetamine, officers obtained a search warrant for a residence said to be shared by Wetstein and 28-year-old Talitha Jacobson.

The warrant was served in August. Officers reported finding drugs and drug paraphernalia, including digital scales. Handguns were also found in the bedroom occupied by Wetstein and Jacobson. The serials numbers had been partially removed from one of the handguns.
