Two planned retirements are among a number of administrative changes approved by the Mountain Home Public Schools Board of Education during its March meeting.

The board accepted the resignation of Hackler Intermediate School Principal Sondra Monger at the end of the contract year. Monger has been with Mountain Home schools for 34 years and is now retiring.

Allyson Dewey has been transferred to Hackler Intermediate school to serve as principal. She is the current principal for Pinkston Middle School.

Superintendent Dr. Jake Long says Central Office duties have been reorganized, and Dr. Dana Brown will be assuming the responsibilities of director of federal programs.

Mountain Home Junior High School Principal Ron Czanstkowski has been transferred to assume the responsibilities of director of student services, transportation, and assessment.

Mike Walker’s retirement notification has also been accepted. Walker will leave the district after 20 years of service. His current duties will be restructured along with those of Chris Knight. Knight will now serve the district in the role of director of auxiliary services.

The principal positions at Pinkston Middle School and Mountain Home Junior High will be posted, and the search for leaders to fill those roles will begin.
