MHHS soccer teams have rough trip to Searcy

The Mountain Home High School soccer teams both lost their first district games of the season Wednesday night at Searcy.

For the Bomber boys, it was their first overall loss of the season. Mountain Home and Searcy were tied 1-1 at the end of regulation but the Lions won 4-2 in a shootout.
The Bombers’ goal was scored by Paul Athicomnanta on an assist by Ewan Platt. JoJo McCoy had five goal saves.
Mountain Home falls to 8-1 overall and 5-1 in in the 6A/5A-2 District.

The Lady Bombers suffered a 3-1 loss. Sarah Swonger had the lone Mountain Home goal on a direct free kick.
Mountain Home falls to 7-3-2 overall and 5-1 in the 6A/5A-2.

The Mountain Home soccer teams return to action Friday at Batesville.
