MH soccer teams pick up sweep at Batesville

The Mountain Home High School soccer teams went on the road and swept a pair of district games at Batesville.

The Lady Bombers shut out the Lady Pioneers 4-0. Emma Jones was Mountain Home’s leading scorer with two goals, Chloe Nosari and Sabra Wickersham each added a goal, and Emma Martin recorded five saves.

The Bomber boys also grabbed a shutout victory as they topped Batesville 3-0. Paul Athicomnanta paced Mountain Home with two goals; Hunter Beshears chipped in a goal on a corner kick; assists were provided by Daniel Goicoechea, Seokwoo Choi, Gage Slaughter and Talyn Benton; and Jospeh McCoy had one save. The Bombers improve to 9-1 on the season and 5-1 in the 6A/5A-2.

Mountain Home will return to Bomber Stadium Tuesday as they face Vilonia.
