The Mountain Home High School softball team used the long ball Monday afternoon to defeat Melbourne 17-7. The Lady Bombers hit six home runs on the day.Grace Gilbert led the assault with three homers and four runs batted in, Addison Yates hit two round-trippers and drove in three, Maly Tabor had a home run and three RBI, Marcie Cudworth had three hits and drove in three and Payton Huskey had three hits and scored three runs.
The Lady Bombers improve to 9-8 on the season while the Lady Bearkatz fall to 9-3.
Mountain Home won the J.V. game 5-3 to improve to 10-3.
