Coron Jamall Johnson of Flippin pled no contest during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday to a charge of terroristic threatening stemming from a heated argument at a Norfork metal fabricating business September 22nd last year.

He was given three year probation.

According to court records, during the verbal exchange, Johnson was alleged to have pulled up his shirt to show he had a handgun tucked into the waistband of his shorts.

Johnson and the victim had been involved in a prior confrontation which turned physical and sent Johnson to the hospital.

When Johnson showed the weapon, the victim backed off and Johnson left the area — but the feud was not over.

Later in the day on September 22nd, Johnson was stopped by police headed in the direction of the Norfork business. He was accompanied by three other males. Johnson said the men were headed back to the Norfork business to “make things fair” apparently in reference to a planned continuation of the dispute with the victim in the case.

After Johnson and his companions were stopped by law enforcement, a .40-caliber handgun was recovered from Johnson’s backpack. According to the probable cause affidavit, Johnson admitted to showing the man with whom he was fighting the gun to deter any further physical altercation between the two.
