The 1A-2 North Conference Track Meet was held Tuesday at Bomber Stadium in Mountain Home.
On the boy’s side, Izard County won their fifth straight conference championship, finishing 31 points ahead of second place Hillcrest.
The Cougars were led by Rory Bell who won the 110 meter hurdles, high jump and 200 meter dash. Shawn Burgelbaugh won the long jump and was second in the triple jump. Isaac Jones won the 800 meter run. Hayden Ekenes won the discus. Dylan Tharp was second in the 200 and Caleb Faulkner was third. Ethan Mohlke was third in the 3200 meter run.
The 4×100 team won their race as did the 4×800 team.
On the girl’s side, Mammoth Spring’s Lauren Mitchell won four events and finished as the high point athlete. She won the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 300 meter hurdles and the long jump.
