Two Baxter County residents were arrested after it was determined they were unwanted guests at a Mountain Home residence. Forty-three-year-old Michael Leverton of Mountain Home and 24-year-old Jessica Sullins of Gassville are currently in the Baxter County Detention Center.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Mountain Home Police Sergeant Robert McCoy responded to the residence on Hallmark Circle after dispatch was advised three individuals were attempting to gain entry. As Sergeant McCoy and another officer approached the two males and one female, Leverton reportedly walked to the edge of the house and placed something in a front basket on a bicycle. The individuals advised the officers they came to the residence to drop off some items, and Sullins stated the house belongs to her mother. As other officers arrived, Sergeant McCoy went to the bicycle and reportedly removed a plastic baggie of a crystal substance weighing 4/10 of a gram. Leverton was taken into custody.

Sullins allegedly stated she had a pipe in her bag that she had on her arm. Sergeant McCoy located the glass pipe with residue in her bag. She was placed under arrest for possession of the pipe and for an active warrant. He also made contact with the homeowner who stated her daughter is not allowed at her residence, and she wishes to pursue criminal trespass charges.

Leverton is charged with a felony count of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and his bond is set at $2,500. Sullins was charged with criminal trespass, a violation of Arkansas’s hot check law and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, and her bond is set at $1,128.

Leverton and Sullins are scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit court next month.
