A Gassville man 32-year-old Stephen Lee Barnett was arrested Friday on charges stemming from a warrant issued April 16th. According to the inmate roster on the Baxter County Sheriff’s website, Barnett faces two felony counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $3,500 bond.

The charges come from the arrest of Julieann McMeechan, of Gamaliel, who was living at Barnett’s residence for two weeks prior to a January compliance check. When officers checked the residence, they reported finding various items of drug paraphernalia, including smoking devices and digital scales. The items tested positive for methamphetamine residue.

Heather Nichole McDaniel of Mountain Home was also living at the residence. McMeechan and McDaniel were both arrested in January and booked on one felony count each of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bonds for the two were also set at $3,500 each.

McMeechan was given five years probation and ordered to spend a year in one of the Community Correction Centers in the state. McDaniel was given three years probation on charges of possessing drug paraphernalia.

Barnett is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court.
