Local baseball, softball teams in conference tournament play Thursday

Thursday’s baseball and softball schedule includes some area teams in postseason action.

The 2A-2 Conference Baseball Tournament will begin at Salem. Cotter meets Buffalo Island Central at 4:00, and Salem faces Marmaduke in a battle between Greyhounds.
The 1A-2 North Conference Tournament will get underway at Viola. Norfork takes on Izard County at 4:00, and Mammoth Spring plays Calico Rock at 6:00.
Elsewhere, Bakersfield travels to Koshkonong, Gainesville makes the trip to Hartville, and Dora hosts Hurley.

Viola will also host the 1A-2 North Conference Softball Tournament. Norfork will be paired with Izard County, and Calico Rock meets Hillcrest.
The 2A-2 Conference Tournament will get started at Salem with the first game at 4:00.
